Minecraft developers launch new game, Crown and Council, for free on Steam

Mojang, Developers of super popular juggernaut, Minecraft, have sneakily released a brand new game called Crown and Council for free on Steam. The game describes itself as "a casual strategy game of geopolitical drama. Conquer, expand, build and develop your kingdom, until all your foes are crushed!"

The game features procedural land generation and insults directed at you from your enemies. Mojang even directed a small (but playful) jab at No Man's Sky in the studio official statement, in regards to procedural generation.

Early Steam reviews are currently mixed, as many users are lamenting the absence of multiplayer and the use of random number generation. Though you can probably chalk that up to hardcore enthusiasts looking for a challenge. The positive reviews describe the game as "addictive", so if you are curious for something new to play and at no cost, Crown and Council is worth a look.
