Minecraft gets Halloween and Steampunk texture packs

Now available for Minecraft on Xbox are two new texture packs — Steampunk and Halloween-themed texture packs, to be precise.

That means creepers now look like ghosts, other mobs are re-skinned, the UI is new, and block patterns look different. The Steampunk-theme texture pack makes things look, well, Steampunk. Victorian in nature with a mechanical and technological flair to it. The Halloween-themed pack makes things look like The Nightmare for Christmas, essentially.

Both are now available on the Xbox LIVE marketplace. While the Halloween pack is free, the Steampunk one with cost $1.00. If you play on PlayStation, fear not; both packs will be coming to the PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 next week.
