Minecraft hits 20 million

Minecraft now has over 20 million registered users first reported via a Twitter post.

Notch or Markus Persson, whichever you prefer, is a programmer at Mojang and first released the news on his twitter. He proclaimed, "Minecraft now has 20 million registered users. At 70 kg each (154 lbs), that's 25% of the weight of the Great Pyramid of Giza." Although my math is a little lacking, one can still imagine every single Minecraft player buillding a ridiculous cheerleader pyramid next to the Great Pyramid of Giza. (Wow, wasn't that fun?)

Minecraft is a sandbox building game that was released on November 18, 2011 for PC. [Twitter]
