It only took an hour for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition to become profitable on consoles. Released yesterday on Xbox 360 exclusively, Minecraft looks like it's off to a fantastic start.
Coming off yesterday's tease that Minecraft was doing "pretty…uh…well" on the Xbox 360, Notch today revealed the game was "profitable in an hour".
"Saw the official sales numbers for the first 24 hours of Minecraft Xbox 360, and it's very, very good," he added.
We don't know how exact numbers just yet as Notch is leaving the details to a Microsoft press release. We do know, however, that it is "doing better" than Fortresscraft. Of course, since the FortressCraft developer claims it's nothing like Minecraft, I don't know why we're comparing the two.
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition can be downloaded from Xbox LIVE Arcade for 1600 Microsoft Points, or $20.
