Mojang has announced that Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition will be available to download from PlayStation Network tomorrow, December 17th in North America (Dec. 18 in Europe). Pricing for the game was not revealed, though I imagine it'll be similar in price to the Xbox 360 version, which sells for $19.99.
The PS3 edition comes with everything already present in the other console versions. "They're pretty much identical to play, and will be developed in tandem from now on," Mojang's Owen Hill explained.
PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions of Minecraft are also being developed, but Mojang could only confirm that they are expected to release "sometime next year." There was no mention of an sort of cross-buy or PS3 to PS4 upgrade offer and Mojang could not confirm if the game will support Remote Play, the ability to play PS3 or PS4 games on the Vita.
