Minecraft: PS4 Edition fails Sony’s testing; must undergo certification again

Last week, developer 4J Studios handed Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition over to Sony for the final test before release. Unfortunately, it hit a few snags.

In an update on Twitter, 4J wrote, "Sony found some issues we have to fix in their final test of [Minecraft: PS4 Edition]."

Minecraft doesn't yet have an solid release date for PS4, but it's expected to release in August. 4J added that they've already begun fixing the issues, but that the game will have to go through the entire submission and certification process again which could take another week or two. If that's the case, we could be looking at an early September release.

Meanwhile, the studio also said last week that they are still bug fixing the Xbox One and Vita versions. I haven't seen an update since.
