Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has seen incredible success since it was brought over to Xbox 360 via Xbox LIVE. Looking to cater to the audience who "are not currently connected to Xbox LIVE," Mojang will release a retail version with a disc-based copy of the game.
PlayXBLA notes that the retail version of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will contain all of the same features and content that's in the current version, as well as the new additions coming soon in the ninth title update to the game. It will also include multiplayer support as well as all future feature updates.
The retail version will arrive in stores in the United States on April 30, and will be priced at $19.99. It will be coming to Australia, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan in early June. Earlier this month, Mojang's Jens Bergensten said once the exclusivity deal with Microsoft ends, they'd entertain the thought of bringing Minecraft over to PlayStation as well.
