Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, the console adaption of the hugely popular PC game developed by Mojang, has sold over 3 million copies since its launch on the Xbox 360 back in May.
"I got told Minecraft for XBLA passed three million sales today!" franchise creator Markus 'Notch' Persson shared on Twitter.
Just add this to the impressive list of milestones already achieved by the console version of Minecraft, which broke previous XBLA sales records by selling more than any other title in the first 24 hours of availability.
Last week, the 1.7.3 update for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition went live adding pistons, shears, stackable fences, and a ton of other goodies. It's still not quite up-to-date with the PC version yet, with co-developer 4J Studios looking to implement the 1.8 Adventure update soon.
Notch also revealed that Minecraft has sold around 9 million units total across XBLA, PC< Android, and iOS platforms as of May 25.
