Famed designer Shigeru Miyamoto expressed a desire to create a game in a very different genre than what he's used to.
"I actually do kind of want to make a first-person shooter, but I don't have time," he told Kotaku.
Before you pass out from shock, Miyamoto clarified that he's more interested in the structure of a first-person shooter than anything else — not to mention he did a small amount of work on Metroid Prime for the GameCube.
"Having that 3D space that in theory you are in and being able to look around and explore that — particularly being able to do that in conjunction with another person — is very interesting," he said.
Miyamoto commenting that viewing the world through a GamePad could be "a very fun and unique gameplay experience" in a FPS.
"I don't think we're ever going to be at a point where we'll say it will support four GamePads, but two GamePads is something people wanted," he said.
