Last November, Sony announced that Adrian Gonzalez would grace the cover of MLB 12: The Show – giving Yankees fans some time to prepare to see his face every time they open up the game case.
Today, fans can get a look at just what they'll see on the cover of MLB 12: The Show, Gonzalez likely hitting a home run ball off one of the Yankees' pitchers dead arms. Sony unveiled the official cover of this year's MLB 12: The Show and you can see it below.
Back in November, Gonzalez was quoted as saying, "I feel very humbled to be chosen for the cover of MLB 12 The Show … I think most sports fans would agree it's a dream come true to be immortalized as the cover athlete for a video game, so I jumped at the chance to work with a leading franchise like The Show. It's truly a great honor."
Given Gonzalez's stats last season, it should be the franchise that is honored. Gonzalez batted an impressive .338 last year with 27 home runs and 116 RBIs.
