MLB The Show 17 players are getting freebies in the wake of the game’s server issues

If you've been playing a lot of MLB The Show 17 lately, chances are you've encountered a few technical issues with the game's online mode. While it's nothing Earth shattering, Sony and SIE San Diego Studio will be giving away 10 Standard Packs and 11,000 Stubs to anyone who played the game from launch until May 11th at 1:00 pm PST.

The developers have said that they are "less than happy" with the server issues that have plagued the game to this point but have been "working without pause to address a number of server and gameplay issues to restore the online experience."

They've been using patches and in-game message to communicate the updates, as well as a few unannounced back-end updates to help things along.

"We’re pleased to report that these updates have made great strides to address the main issues related to online gameplay and have led to an improved gameplay experience for our fans."

Players can expect the Packs and Stubs to be uploaded to their account within the week.
