Molyneux’s Godus game completes its Kickstarter goal

Peter Molyneux's Kickstarter for Godus — a god game and modern reinvention of Populous — has reached its funding goal of £450,000 ($730K) with less than 20 hours remaining.

As it neared the end, developer 22Cans shared a prototype video of the game and announced that an Internet connection would not be required to play the single-player mode.

Molyneux also sat down and recorded a multiplayer session.

Do you have faith that Molyneux can deliver what he promises this time? The team at least seems open about the designer's bad habits in the introductory video, which might assure gamers that they're taking their plans for Godus seriously.
