Update: Capcom hopes to have both the Data Transfer Program and the Packet Relay Tool (which enables players to connect the 3DS version online) ready by Friday, March 22.
An update that's supposed to enable players to transfer Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate save data between systems has yet to surface.
The transfer app allows for mobility when playing at home (on the Wii U console) or on the go (on the 3DS handheld). It's a handy cross-save feature, and while it was supposed to appear at launch, it's still missing from the 3DS eShop.
"Yep; I'm looking into the exact time … but it should be up later today," posted community specialist Yuri L. Araujo. "Sorry for the delay (I have no idea what caused it, btw)."
The app still hasn't arrived, however, and the forum thread is going strong.
Capcom is hoping Ultimate will popularize the series in the West. It plans to continue supporting the game for "several months" after release.
We gave it a 9/10.
