Last month, rumors began surfacing that Bungie's upcoming expansion for Destiny was titled 'Rise of Iron,' somethat that has been somewhat confirmed by the recent trademark that was filed by the developers. Earlier today, Bungie was betrayed by their own website that accidentally revealed the release date for the rumored Rise of Iron expansion.
Bungie is planning on officially revealing the expansion tomorrow, but it seems the internet has different plans for them.
Xbox Singapore has revealed more details on the upcoming expansion, before Bungie even had the chance (seriously, what is with all the leaks today). According to notes taken from Xbox Singapore's official site by GameInformer, Rise of Iron will require the base game and The Taken King expansion in order to play.
As far as what the expansion features, it will make Old Russia bigger and bring a zone called The Plaguelands with Lord Saladin. Additionally, the following features will also be included in the expansion:
