More Nintendo Switch Launch Titles and an Indie Showcase Announced

Today, the Nintendo eShop announced that there will be even more Switch titles at launch. These titles include Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, the expansion Specter of Torment, and Fast RMX. All three will be available on March right with the launch of the console.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove by Yacht Club Games includes both the original, acclaimed Shovel Knight and all of it's DLC, including the newest one Specter of Torment. Both Treasure Trove and Specter of Torment are Nintendo Switch exclusives for a limited time. The original Shovel Knight was on PC and Wii U and received wide praise from many.

Fast RMX is a racing game in the same vein of F-Zero. "Lighting-fast anti-gravity" races with local split-screen and online multiplayer and exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.

The Wii U had issues which included a lack of third party developers, but Nintendo has attacked that problem head on with 60 indie games being released on the Nintendo eShop this year. They even noted that this number doesn't include digital versions of retail games or even DLC.

To celebrate this large amount of third-party indie games, Nintendo will be holding a presentation called the "Nindies Showcase" next week. It will stream right here on Tuesday, February 28 at 9 AM PT.
