Mortal Kombat X creator teases something big coming

We recently got a look at Mortal Kombat X's vicious new fighters that are coming with the Kombat Pack 2 DLC sometime in 2016, but it doesn't look like that's all that is coming to the game this year. Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon and the NetherRealm community manager, Tyler Lansdown have been rather conspicuous on social media lately.

Earlier today Boon took to Twitter teasing something was on the way, noting that he wasn't talking about Kombat Pack 2.

One of Boon's community members picked out the capitalized words and took the first letter of every word capitalized, leaving "Good Game Peace Out" and "GGPO." This phrase isn't uncommon in the programming world, in fact, it's been used in a number of fighting games to hide latency in online play.

In addition to Boon's tweet, the community manager tweeted, "Some fun news coming tomorrow. GGs."

It is being rumored that the teases are suggesting an update to Mortal Kombat X's online multiplayer. No confirmation has been given by NetherRealm or Ed Boon, although Boon did call it an "interesting theory."

Let's see what tomorrow brings!
