Mortal Kombat X gets a release date; pre-order to fight as Goro

"GET OVER HERE!" Because I've got some amazing news — Mortal Kombat X now has an official release date.

Announced today by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Mortal Kombat X, the latest installment in NetherRealm's brutal fighting franchise, is set to release worldwide on April 14, 2015. It'll be available for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

In addition to announcing the release date, Warner Bros. also revealed that if you pre-order Mortal Kombat X you'll be able to fight as Goro, the four-armed Shokan warrior who first appeared in the original Mortal Kombat more than eight years ago as an unplayable boss character.

Mortal Kombat X was officially announced back in June. The game combines cinematic presetnation with all-new gameplay to deliver "the most brutal Kombat experience ever." For the first time, Mortal Kombat X gives you the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character, impacting both strategy and fighting style.
