Let's recap: We have seen the Cage family drama, the Briggs family kick ass, had a hint about what the game's story is about, and now we are getting a look at the launch trailer for Mortal Kombat X.
Here's the trailer summed up in one word: Awesome.
If that's not enough for you, the trailer shows off the majority kombatant roster — including some DLC characters like Tanya and Goro (who will be playable in the Tower Mode, even if you don't purchase them). You get to see Liu Kang's fatality, and even get a glimpse of Rain and Baraka in action, which brings up the question… Will characters like Rain, Baraka, Kabal and Fujin (who seem to be NPC's and are featured in the trailer) be unlockable characters? We can only hope that we can get our sweaty little hands on those kombatants.
Mortal Kombat X is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 14th; Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will be releasing at a later date.
