Nathan Fillion is best known for his role at Captain Reynolds in Firefly and as Richard Castle in Castle, but he has also played a role in Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo Reach. Fillion lent his voice and physical appearance to Halo 3's Gunner Sergeant Reynolds (an obvious call to Firefly) and ODST's (as well as Reach's) Gunnery Sergeant Edward Buck.
At the time, Fillion was quoted saying, "I'm a Halo guy. The Bungie folks were kind enough to have me do a voice for Halo 3. So there's nothing like sitting down to a nice game of Halo and shooting at myself."
How much of a Halo guy is Fillion? Enough of a Halo guy to reprise his role as Buck for Halo 5: Guardians. GameInformer has revealed the cover for the July issue of their magazine to be 343 Industries' Halo 5. Teasing what was to come in the latest issue of the magazine, GameInformer put up a "coverage trailer" as a sneak peak at what was to come once the magazine hit store shelves.
This trailer showed off Gunnery Sergeant Edward Buck, a spitting image of Nathan Fillion.
