Naughty Dog on mysterious PS4 game: ‘You’ll be in awe when you play it’

Naughty Dog is quite confident in their yet-to-be-announced PlayStation 4 game. We all know they are working on one, but the developer has yet to actually announce it yet. That could all change come November 14th at the PlayStation 4 All Access event or possibly at the 2013 VGA Awards later this year, but for now we have to settle for hints and teasers, which have actually come in abundance of late.

The latest is from Naughty Dog's Justin Richmond (game director) and Robert Cogburn (lead multiplayer designer) of Uncharted 3. The duo hosted a Reddit Ask Me Anything where they were asked a few questions about Naughty Dog's upcoming game. While no solid details were spoiled, they did drop a few more teasers that suggest the next game could take place in space.

Asked if Nathan Drake would be a potential character in a game that takes place in space, Justin cryptically responded, "If only the Starlight wasn't so Savage." He's obviously referencing the collectible comic book series "Savage Starlight" from Naughty Dog's most recent game, The Last of Us.

When asked for comment on the rumored space IP, Robert teased, "There's not enough space to talk about it."

The duo wouldn't comment if Uncharted 4 would happen on PS4, but Robert did explain, "If I said anything about what we're doing right now it wouldn't be exciting." He also added, "The PS4 is awesome. It gives us a chance to do a lot of things we've been talking about for some time. You'll be in awe when you play it," referring to Naughty Dog's next game.

Either Naughty Dog's next game will take place in space or this is the biggest troll ever. Naughty Dog officially revealed The Last of Us at the VGA Awards in 2011 after weeks of teasing. Will they do the same with their PS4 title?
