Take-Two Interactive has confirmed the release of NBA 2K15 and WWE 2K15. While no specific dates were mentioned, the two games were included in the company's lineup of future titles.
Given the incredible success of NBA 2K14, the continuation of 2K's basketball sim is seemingly an easy decision. NBA 2K14 was the fastest-selling release in the history of the series and has shipped over five million copies to date. The franchise itself has shipped over 35 million copies total.
Unlike Take-Two's NBA 2K franchise, WWE 2K is relatively new to the company. In early 2013, Take-Two purchased the rights for the wrestling franchise from a bankrupt THQ. Long-time series developer Yukes was retained to handle WWE 2K14 and while sales figures weren't provided for the game, it was apparently a big enough success to warrant a continuation of the series. The game received a 7.5/10 here on GameZone with reviewer David Sanchez calling it "no World Champion, but a good candidate for the Intercontinental Title."
Other upcoming games in Take-Two's lineup are BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea – Episode 2 and the recently revealed Evolve.
