Netflix has a lot riding on Bright; their Cop Thriller meets high fantasy starring Will Smith with Suicide Squad's David Ayer doing the directing. Suffice it to say; Bright does not lack in star power or resources, as Netflix originally purchased the rights for Bright for a cool $90 million last year. Today, the streaming giant sent out a press release with three accompanying screenshots, one of which is embedded above.
Here's a look at the remaining two:
Bright takes place in an alternate history where humans, orcs, elves and fairies have lived together since the beginning of time. The movie explores themes of racial tensions as Will Smith's partner, Jakoby looks to represent the orc community within law enforcement. The duo is tasked with saving an Elf while trying to keep a powerful magic wand from being used for evil.
Bright will release on Netflix this December.
