New Disney Infinity 3.0 Light FX figures will have glowing lightsabers, obviously

When I lovingly unwrapped all of my Disney Infinity 3.0 figures, I immediately wondered why Disney didn't make the figures have light up Lighstabers. After all, Skylanders have done something similar with their line of toys with the LightCore line. But after today's announcement, it makes complete sense; Cold, hard cash. Those early adopters will probably be kicking themselves right about now.

But seriously, these things look pretty awesome, and sadly, I'm most likely going to give in and purchase a few of these. Damn my constant need to collect things!

The only thing worse is that each character is retailer exclusive, meaning you'll have a lot of driving to do if you want to get them all. Here is the breakdown:

  • Luke Skywalker: Walmart
  • Yoda: Target
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi: GameStop
  • Darth Vader: Toys “R“ Us
  • Anakin Skywalker: Best Buy
  • Kanan Jarrus: Amazon

You can check out the rest of the figures that are making the jump to Light FX in the gallery below. Hint: It's all the characters that wield Lightsabers.
