Disney Infinity can not come soon enough. The new gaming platform combines all of the most popular Disney and Pixar franchises into one huge, interactive video game. Using toys (much like Skylanders), players can use their favorite characters from Cars, Monsters University, The Incredibles and Pirates of the Caribbean in virtual worlds called playsets.
The real gem of Disney Infinity, however, is Toy Box mode. Toy Box mode lets players build their own worlds to adventure it. Using the hundreds of characters, vehicles, items and environments from the game, you can create the world to play in as you want. Using a logic creator in Toy Box mode, players can create whatever experience they like, such as action adventures, capture-the-flag games, races, tower defense, and obstacle courses. Players can recreate amazing structures — like Minecraft — or recreate one of their favorite arcade classics.
Today's video release of Disney Infinity is dedicated to its Toy Box mode. I've also included some new screenshots of the game.
Disney Infinity is set to release on August 18, 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Wii and Nintendo 3DS.
