New Grand Theft Auto 5 artwork points to spring 2013 release

For the second week in a row, a retailer has leaked artwork and promotion material pointing toward a spring 2013 release for Grand Theft Auto 5. This time, UK retail giant GAME posted new artwork of Rockstar's highly-anticipated open-world action game encouraging users to pre-order a copy of the game for launch — which says spring 2013 to be exact. The image has since been deleted from Twitter.

Last week a there was a similar occurrence in which another European retail site leaked images of GTA 5 promotional material. The images showed similar artwork along with the spring 2013 release date. So that makes it two retailers confirming the same release window. Also noticably absent from the artwork is the PC format, suggesting a later release for that platform.

Grand Theft Auto 5 was first unveiled in October 2011. It was given a brief teaser the following month, but since then we've heard very little about the game aside from Rockstar treating us to a few screenshots here and there. All-new info is expected to drop next month, on November 8, thanks to the latest issue of GameInformer however.

Rockstar Games has yet to comment on the rumored release window, but I'm fairly confident we can expect the game to launch around that time. Stay tuned for more Grand Theft Auto 5 information.
