New image shows off Micheal Fassbender in full Assassin’s Creed get-up

The smart thing to do would be to just give up on the idea of video games ever translating into good movies. But alas, I still can't let go. Assassin's Creed is next up, and come December 21st, we will see if Micheal Fassbender's assassin is more akin to Black Flag or Unity. As we await the next official trailer for the movie, 20th Century Fox has released a brand new teaser image of the star in full get-up, and he looks the part at the very least.

Check it out:

Video Game movie history aside (Ugh, remember DOOM? *shudder*), there's plenty of reason to be skeptical of Assassin's Creed's chances, especially considering that it's been some time since the series has put out a game worthy of being called "great". It definitely helps that Ubisoft has given the brand a (kinda sorta) hiatus this year, but this movie has more to prove than it has to gain at this point.
