New leaked ‘Supergirl’ set pics confirm Kara is heading to Metropolis

New leaked photos confirm Kara will be heading to Metropolis for season two of 'Supergirl'.

It was recently announced that season two of [originally] CBS' Supergirl series would not only return on The CW network, but also feature the debut of the latest television incarnation of Superman, played by MTV's Teen Wolf star, Tyler Hoechlin. Despite the negative response to the first reveal of Hoechlin in his official costume, the hype is still palpable in regards to fan expectations for the new direction the series might go.

Thanks to a few helpful tweets, it has been confirmed that Kara/Supergirl will in fact be visiting her cousin, Clark Kent/Superman, in the classic, sprawling city of Metropolis. So far, Supergirl has been operating in National City, but based on whatever threat seems to be looming in this version of the DC Universe, she'll have to make her way to Metropolis to seek the help of her legendary kin:

If that weren't enough, it looks like LexCorp (or LuthorCorp in both this world, as well as in 'Smallville') will be featured in some way:

While the sign could easily just be an easter egg, Lex's sister, Lena Luthor, has already been set to appear in the next season. The rest of the show, however, won't feature the Man of Steel for very long. Since the show is supposed to center on Supergirl and developing her own skills and abilities to problem solve, his only confirmed appearance so far will be in the first two episodes. Fortunately, the CW is planning a massive crossover event involving all of their already established DC shows including, 'The Flash', 'Arrow', 'Legends of Tomorrow', and now 'Supergirl', so it might be likely we'll see him again for the closest thing we'll get to the Justice League this side of the multiverse.

Supergirl season 2 premieres on The CW October 10th!
