While we work our way to the Creators Update for Xbox One, Insider members have been hit with a series of Preview Updates to vet out. The latest update brings two new features, bug fixes and a slew of known issues.
The new features will allow you to enable automatic updated independently from the console's power mode (if you have Instant-On enabled nothing will change). In addition to that, you'll be able to control the transparency level and number of achievements in the achievement tracker.
Compared to the last Preview Update, there are a couple unresolved issues and new issues, however, there are some issues that appear to have been resolved. As far as new issues go, the former Cortana issue has been resolved and replaced with a couple new issues that make her ultra responsive – too responsive even.
There are some issues with the Ubisoft Club and Guide. Luckily, the Dishonored 2 issue has been fixed, but the IGN app failure to launch has not been fixed.
If your console is in Instant-On mode and you have been selected to receive the update, it will download and install the update and reboot to standby.
NOTE: Once the update is available to you, you can manually begin the update by launching the Guide and navigating to All Settings > System > Console info & updates.
If you have been selected to receive the update and your console hasn’t downloaded and installed the update by 1:00 AM PST 2/8/2017, you will be prompted to do so at that time.
