Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida tweeted a pictures of the new PlayStation Vita model and that it can be charged with any micro USB smartphone charger.
The PCH-2000 model, which was announced by Sony last month during their pre-TGS press conference, is currently available in Japan. A North American release hasn't been announced yet, but I'm digging the colors of the new Vita, and the decision to use a micro USB charger is a great one. You know what that means… playing it on road trips without the fear of not being able to charge it.
