Futurlab has shared with us today some new screenshots of the Alpha of their upcoming PS4 game, Velocity 2X. The studio does have plan to release a video showing off gameplay mechanics and such, but for now, they've only teased us with images. It should also be noted that, as nice as these screenshots appear, the game is still in an Alpha build meaning there's still plenty of work left.
For those unfamiliar, Velocity 2X is a sci-fi platformer and shoot em-up, designed as a sequel to Velocity Ultra. It was first teased during Gamescom in August of last year. Unlike its predecessor, you'll now be able to exit your ship and run around on foot. You can also teledash through obstacles and throw a personal teleporter to reach high ledges and solve puzzles.
Although today's screenshots are specifically of the PS4 version, Velocity 2X has also been confirmed for PlayStation Vita.
