Speculation for casting has been batted around continuously for Batman v Superman since moment one, and it just continues to do so as the dramatis personae keeps on bloating. Jena Malone’s inclusion has been known for a while now, but opinions on her role have ranged everywhere from Carrie Kelly’s incarnation of Robin to Catgirl.
However, new tidbits have Malone slated as Barbara Gordon, which would be an interesting choice given the character’s journey from Batgirl to the aftermath of Moore’s Killing Joke which lead to her ultimate persona of Oracle.
Whether this new version of Malone’s role for the film is true or not, a lot of people are seizing on the idea and the real question becomes ‘Just how many characters are gonna be in this thing?’
Batman v Superman: Daw of Justice hits screens on March 25, 2016 and will be followed by Suicide Squad on August 5th.
