New trailer for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ shows action, not just drinking and singing

A new trailer has released for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey; one that gives quite a bit more action to us than dwarves just singing and dancing. While, the action sequences aren't up to the epic-scale battles of The Lord of the Rings trilogy — and no one expects them to be — we get to see Frodo and the dwarves hold their own against some trolls.

Set to a tense score, we also learn why Gandalf has chosen Mr. Baggins as the 14th member for this adventure. Who would've thought that a halfling would give a powerful wizard courage. I can't begin to grasp the grand scale of the story that these three movies are going to tell. Just from this trailer, there's so much going on that i'm overwhelmed yet incredibly excited.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be opening on December 14, 2012. The following two films, The Desolation of Smaug and There and Back Again, will complete the trilogy on December 13, 2013 and July 2014, respectively.
