Earlier today, Daniel Kaplan, designer for Minecraft: Pocket Edition, announced he would write something about Minecraft: Pocket Edition via his Twitter page. Now, fast forward hours later, and he said that the people at Minecraft: Pocket Edition have listened to the fans' feedback and suggestions. Then, he went on to officially announce an update for the popular mobile game that will be released next month.
Kaplan described the first update as being a huge change to "the survival aspects of the game." New blocks and more animals will be available right off the bat to create the main "foundation" for the surivival part of the game. In addition, there will be bug fixes along with the addition of doors and fences. Unfortunately, crafting won't be available in this update as Kaplan explains a GUI redesign is necessary for that and it is going to take some time to do that.
The plan is to have the update ready and submitted to the iOS App store and the Android store by February 8. [Mojang]
