New X-Men: Apocalypse featurette shows how James McAvoy becomes Professor X

20th Century Fox just released a new featurette showcasing the transformation of James McAvoy into Professor Xavier before beginning production on X-Men: Apocalypse. Check it out above!

X-Men: Apocalypse is no more than a few weeks away, but following the roaring success of Captain America: Civil War, the hype surrounding Marvel and the superhero film franchises that follow is palpable. Many have been wondering since X-Men: First Class released in 2011, when James McAvoy, who has been sporting his beautifully quiffed, feathered locks to portray the younger version of Patrick Stewart's Professor Charles Xavier, will finally go full-on bald for the role. As it turns out, we will finally get to see the gap bridged between Professors.

The latest promotional material reveals director Bryan Singer and McAvoy facetiming with Patrick Stewart himself has he mans the clippers and becomes the real Professor X we've been waiting for.

X-Men: Apocalypse releases May 27th!
