New Xbox 360 bundles announced for 2014 Holiday Season

It's only September and Microsoft is already talking Holiday bundles. While nothing has been announced for the Xbox One yet (though there is the current promotion where you can select any game you want), the platform-holder today revealed three new Xbox 360 bundles that'll be available next week for the 2014 holiday season.

Let me repeat that; we're in September, and we're already looking ahead to the holidays. Where does the time go? Oh, that's right, Destiny — that's where the time goes.

I guess, technically, for video games September is kind of the start of the holiday push as it marks the beginning of blockbuster game releases. Destiny sort kicked off the season, but looking ahead we'll also have Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin's Creed Unity, Sunset Overdrive, Super Smash Bros., Dragon Age: Inquisition and many more.

Back to the point, three new Xbox 360 Holiday Value Bundles will be available next week at retailers around the world. Here they are:

Xbox 360 500 GB Holiday Value Bundle – $249

Includes:

• Xbox 360 500 GB
• Call of Duty: Ghosts
• Call of Duty: Black Ops II
• One (1) month of Xbox Live Gold access

Xbox 360 Special Edition Blue Bundle – $249

This is actually the same bundle as the one above, but available at Walmart in the U.S. only. This features an "arctic blue" console and controller along with copies of Call of Duty: Ghosts and Black Ops 2 and one month of Xbox LIVE Gold.

Xbox 360 4GB Kinect Bundle – $249

Available at Target in the United States, it includes:

• Xbox 360 4GB Kinect Bundle
• Kinect Adventure
• Kinect Sports
• Forza Horizon
