New Kirby Game for Wii in the Works

Nintendo and HAL Laboratory are taking Kirby back to his old-school ways in a brand new game for the Wii. No longer sporting the yarn and cloth visuals of Kirby’s Epic Yarn, this new project appears to be a more traditional Kirby game.

In the trailer posted on Nintendo of Japan’s website, the pink hero is seen inhaling enemies and stealing their abilities. He dons a giant sword, summons a huge fire dragon, and hacks his way through various foes. The music in the trailer sounds like that of the older Kirby games rather than the cheery themes heard in Kirby’s Epic Yarn, so it seems that the rotund star warrior is now going back to his roots.

Looks like that’s the end of Prince Fluff.
