PlanetSide 2's closed beta has been underway on PlayStation 4 for about three weeks now. And just this week, developer Daybreak Game Company (formerly known as Sony Online Entertainment) released the first patch for the console version of the MMO shooter.
It was a pretty hefty update. Among the things included were new controller schemes, bug fixes, and improvements to the social aspects of the game.
Looking ahead though, there's an "even bigger" patch on the way. Daybreak Game Company didn't get into specifics but did say the next patch will include a tutorial zone and the three additional maps. As PlanetSide 2 was primarily a PC game, a tutorial could prove quite valuable to new console players. And, of course, new maps are always welcome.
