Xbox One owners eager to test the ice can now lace up their skates, as the demo for NHL 15 is now available on Xbox One. Although NHL 15 won't actually release until September 9, Xbox One owners who are also EA Access members can now enjoy a six-hour trial of the full game.
This year's installment of the annual hockey franchise is said to have been built to harness the power of next-gen consoles. As such, the game features a new level of player likeness, intelligence and emotion, the most diverse and animated crowd of any sports game and an added level of control using the Superstar Skill Stick.
In addition to the demo releasing today, NHL 15 also became available for pre-load on Xbox One yesterday. That means you can pre-order and pre-download it ahead of the actual release date so that it's all ready to go the second it unlocks at 12:01am PDT (3:01am EDT). To find the demo in the Xbox Store, simply search for "NHL."
