Ni no Kuni 2 Postponed Til 2018

We've known about Ni no Kuni 2 for a while now. It was announced a year ago, and a PC version was talked about more recently. As the original 2017 deadline approaches, President of LEVEL-5 Inc. Akihiro Hino addressed fans on Twitter to announce a delayed release for the title.

In Bandai Namco US's post on Twitter, Hino explains why the game has been postponed and apologizes for the delay. He also takes the time to explain a misunderstanding made at E3 when they were asked about multiplayer in Ni no Kuni 2. It turns out that the game may have online features, but not necessarily multiplayer features. See the video below for more details.

Many fans on NeoGaf are already stating that a later release may actually be good for the game, as Fall 2017 is already heavily populated with release titles, and a JRPG like Ni no Kuni 2 should have a wider berth as to not get lost in the mix of high-action shooters and the like.

The good news is that the delay isn't that much of a push, Ni no Kuni 2 will release on January 19, 2018.
