Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered launch trailer is full of Ghibli goodness

Bandai Namco has released the launch trailer for the remaster of one of the most unique JRPGs in recent memory. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered will be coming out for PC and PS4 as an updated remaster while Nintendo Switch owners will get the original version of the game on September 20th. Watch the trailer here!

Studio Ghibli is the authority when it comes to wholesome family-friendly animated movies. The cult Japanese animation studio is most comparable to a Japanese version of Disney, by creating truly awe-inspiring movies that stay with viewers long after the curtains drop. With more than three decades of experience, the studio never really went all-in with gaming, which is peculiar as the crossover between fans of both are sizeable.

The most prominent game which broke that trend was 2013’s awesome Ni No Kuni. Exclusively available on the PlayStation 3, only a small number of gamers really were able to experience it early on. Publisher Bandai Namco still gave the series another chance with last year’s Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. By branching out to the PC and the much larger install base of the PS4, the sequel became a bigger success which prompted the publisher to port the first game.

This charming tale unfolds through the use of animation storyboarded and created by the legendary Studio Ghibli and music composed by the renowned Joe Hisaishi. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch combines beautiful animated visuals, masterful storytelling, and a sweeping score to create an epic role-playing adventure like no other.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will soon be available on even more systems with the Nintendo Switch getting the game in its original form. Thanks to their respectively much higher performance, PS4 & PC owners can look forward to an enhanced experience in form of higher resolutions and framerates.
