European owners of Nintendo 3DS consoles will gain access is a brand new Nintendo Anime Channel for a free download and a subscription. This is a video on demand system brought to you by Nintendo. The anime available will include Pokemon, Kirby, and Inazuma Eleven with new content being added regularly.

This new channel can be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop come February 13th 2005. To reiterate, this feature was announced in Europe with no mention in North America as of now. According to the UK Nintendo Direct (where it was announced 28 min mark) mentions that “Registration of NNID required for free software downloads.”

Let’s see if this spreads elsewhere in upcoming months.
