At the end of today's Nintendo Direct, president of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime made a pretty big announcement regarding this year's E3. For E3 2013, Nintendo is making E3 for the people, and they're focusing all on games.
Nintendo is partnering with Best Buy, making it possible for consumers in the U.S. and Canada to try games at over 100 retail locations during the week of E3. What would normally be only available to press at E3 will now be on show for consumers to try first-hand.
I have to admit… that was quite unexpected, and I think it's a pretty good move for Nintendo.
While titles and locations have yet to be announced, Reggie said that we'll learn more as E3 approaches, and that the future of the Wii U has a lot of great content coming soon.
