During today's Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata announced a release date for The Wonderful 101; it will release on the Wii U on September 15.
Originally, The Wonderful 101 was supposed to release during the Wii U's launch window. Like everything else with the Wii U, that didn't happen. Delay after delay, now we have the September date to expect the game.
The Wonderful 101 is a "mass-hero action" game developed by Platinum Games, where a large group of superheroes fight off an alien invasion. There's a lot of GamePad functionality, like commanding the superheroes to combine into various forms.
The game looks great, so I guess better late than never is the motto to use here.
