At the end of a great Nintendo Direct which included the reveal of Super Mario Maker 2, a number of great ports coming soon, and more, Nintendo dropped a bomb. The 1993 Gameboy classic The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is being remade for Nintendo Switch.
With a very adorable yet beautiful art style, Nintendo is taking us back to one of Link’s greatest and most beloved adventures. The remake will release in 2019, likely towards the second half of the year, and looks to be filled with lots of fun and enjoyment. You can view the trailer below.

In this modern re-imagining, players once again return to the mysterious island of Koholint to guide Link on a perilous adventure. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening arrives exclusively on Nintendo Switch in 2019,” reads the official description from Nintendo.
