Nintendo announced today that its video game briefing stream Nintendo Direct will return this week. It will take place on Thursday, November 12th at 2:00pm / 5:00pm ET / 10:00pm GMT.
For those unfamiliar, Nintendo Direct is a regularly aired stream that provides the latest on upcoming games for Nintendo's Wii U and 3DS systems. While Nintendo used to air them regularly, we haven't had one since the passing of CEO and host Satoru Iwata last July.
The significance of this Nintendo Direct can't be understated as it marks the first one since the passing of CEO and host Satoru Iwata, who died of cancer last July. The new host in Europe will be NIntendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata, but the American stream's host remains unknown.
Nintendo says this week's Nintendo Direct will provide updates on upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS releases which could include Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and possibly some of next year's big titles like Hyrule Warriors Legends and Star Fox Zero.
