The alleged name of Nintendo's upcoming console was been spotted circulating the web and the jury is out on whether or not it's real. Of course, you never really know what is true or not when it's on the internet, heck, you don't even know who you're talking to on the internet half of the time.
Nintendo has been referring to their upcoming console as the NX, but an image showing the name 'Nintendo Duo' began making rounds on Japanese forums (via WCCF). See below:
It could be real or it could be fake. One internet user has raised a compelling argument for it being a fake. He created his own version of the image in "literally 5 minutes" on photoshop… He wasn't the original one to leak it, but he did do a pretty great job recreating it

Whether or not it's true, Duo sounds like a good name for a console that is reportedly a home console and portable console at once. On top of the 'Duo' name rumor, we recently saw a rumor for the NX's price. It's being suggested that the console will cost $299.99 for the base version and $399.99 for the bundled version.
Plenty of patents, rumors and comments from other industry professionals, have released or surfaced, but we won't know the truth until Nintendo reveals the darn thing.
