Nintendo of Japan doesn’t plan to release more of the Splatoon amiibo Triple Pack

Sorry, no Quick Respawn here

Bent on acquiring the Splatoon amiibo Triple Pack but not having much success? Nintendo's most recent statement on the figures could signal not to hold out for them to (super) jump in and correct the drought.

Nintendo of Japan confirmed on their Twitter upcoming restocks of Splatoon amiibo in the region — namely, Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl, for July 9. And the Squid amiibo, which initially was exclusively available in the Triple Pack, will be releasing on its own later this month. However, the company also stated that there are no plans to restock the Triple Pack in the foreseeable future.

While this does not directly speak for Nintendo's plans in outside territories, it could very well spell that the set will remain a rare find at retail. In other words, if you've been keeping tabs with online store listings (i.e., you're constantly hitting F5, praying for a change in stock), this certainly doesn't give you a reason to stop.

For anyone unsure what the fuss is about: When scanned into the game, each amiibo unlocks new content in the way of challenges and exclusive gear. Plus, the physical figures make great decorations for your desk or TV setup.
