Nintendo offering free game for registering your 3DS, 2DS

Have you registered your 3DS/XL or 2DS yet? You might want to get on that if you want a free game.

Nintendo is offering you the choice of one of seven games if you register your 3DS/XL or 2DS before January 12th, 2015.

What's the catch? Well, for one, if you're in the United States this isn't for you. The 'Winter 2014 Bonus Game Promotion' is only open to residents in the following countries: United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, South Africa, or Russia. Let's say you live in one of those countries, what do you have to do to get a free game? Register a 2DS, 3DS or 3DS XL and one of the eligible games through Club Nintendo by on January 12th 2015.

Here are the eligible games that will help you get a free game (you have to have one of these games registered on Club Nintendo (along with the handheld system):

  • Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
  • Pokémon Omega Ruby
  • Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
  • Pokémon Omega Ruby Limited Edition SteelBook
  • Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Limited Edition SteelBook
