Nintendo reveals new Zelda Wii U/NX artwork and E3 2016 plans

It may not seem like it at times, but Nintendo is prepping for E3 2016 and it looks like they've got a lot of great stuff on tap for next week. Not only that, The Big N is kicking things off with a Legend of Zelda Twitter campaign today for Miitomo in-app gifts.

On the official Nintendo of America Twitter page, the company sent out a tweet (embedded below) that, if it gets a combined 10,000 re-tweets, Nintendo will release a "Link’s new hair wig" add-on to all users of the Miitomo app. If it gets 20,000, all Miitomo users will get a "Link's wig" add-on.

Here's the tweet:

As reported earlier, Nintendo will be hosting a Live Treehouse stream showing off gameplay from the new Legend of Zelda as well as Pokemon Sun and Moon, but Miitomo will continue the celebration for Zelda with a themed Miitomo drop game that will give players the chance to win The Legend of Zelda-themed in-app gear for their Mii character.

There is also going to be a giant eShop sale starting at 11 AM PT on June 14th that will run until 8:59 AM PT on June 21st. There is no indication if it is the same sale as the one in Europe, but it's as good a guess as any at this point.

Here's to a great showing for Nintendo at E3 2016.
