If you were one of the 850,000 gamers that tried their hand at the upcoming Samurai Action RPG, Nioh, chances are you were looking forward to the day when you'd be able to play the game again. It was announced at E3 2016 that the game would be releasing its Beta demo sometime in August, and we finally have a release date for it, August 23rd, 2016.
Unfortunately, the demo will also come with a time frame restriction just like the first one, so you can only expect to play the game from August 23rd to September 6th. After this timeframe, the ability to download and play the demo will be disabled.
You can expect to see an improved version of the gameplay that we saw in the Alpha, but the beta demo will also come with a new Dojo area that will let players train and learn the basics of Nioh. There will also be a brand new stage for players to explore, along with new weapons and armor to play around with but the developers are not revealing concrete details on them just yet.
Nioh is a PS4 exclusive Action RPG with a heavy emphasis on difficulty (not unlike the Souls series) that tells the tale of a western Samurai and his journey through Japan. Details on the game have been somewhat scarce since the developers showed off a new trailer and some screenshots during E3 2016, but it won't be much longer until we see what they have been up to.
